The magnificent campus nestled in a district known for its cultural heritage and renowned educational institutions stands out. IIM Trichy is an institution that promotes morals, critical inquiry, imagination and innovation, accentuating the interdisciplinary approach and establishes a framework for lifelong learning. It feels special to meet and gain from the regarded and learned staff and fellow peers in IIM Trichy. Our batch PGP 1 (2017-19) will be remembered as the first batch to move into IIM-T campus.
The fantastic facilities, state-of-the-art campus warrants special mention. But an IIM Campus is much more than that, and it is our responsibility - the students to bring in dynamism and life to the Campus like never before, akin to any IIM in the country. We have a close relationship with our alumni and every batch looks to build up on the legacy of the previous batches to take IIM-T to new heights in terms of learning, research and application.
We are proud bearers of the tradition of “Work Hard, Party Harder”. We get to appreciate the festivals which come during the hectic days in our understudy life (special mention to Holi, Diwali, Pongal). We take pride in buckling down (and celebrating harder). Venting out our frustrations especially on the poor souls who have birthdays – smashing them up, smearing them with cake making them wish they were somewhere else. In India, conventional banks can do everything payment banks can, yet because of their structures and business needs they might not be able to cater to certain segments of the market. Opening bank branches across geographies in India is also easier said than done. In our course - Management Information System, we got to know more in detail about RPA, how it works, the pain points and its impact on businesses like banking. I also am currently working on a banking project for a Singapore firm to implement RPA to accelerate the banking process.
