There is no doubt that shopping has always been a girl’s best friend, but in my instance, it
has played a major role in enhancing the bond between a mother and a daughter. My
mother and I had moved to Mumbai for my high schooling. One random day, we walked into
“PEOPLE” at Phoenix Market City, Kurla. It was a newly launched store then so we were
clueless about the brand. We had a small argument over whether to enter the store or not.
THANKGOD WE DID! After all, mothers are always right. We were blown away by the
collection, variety, design and most importantly affordability. It’s been almost 7 years since I
purchased a bag from PEOPLE store on that very day. Today, it remains to serve as a
memory pertaining to my beloved mother and brings a smile to our faces.
“LetsBePeopleFirst” campaign is one of my favourite campaigns till date.
Someone had said “Shopping is cheaper than a psychiatrist”. Forever 21 is one such brand
that has been my personal mood lifter throughout the under graduation. With the help of
Aditya Birla Group, this brand has expanded into all major cities of India, which has helped in
bringing immense happiness to all the “twenty-ones” of India. I still remember that while in
college it would be my go-to store for all my clothing needs. Whether it’s she who needs
some time to clear her mind off the several XYZ problems in her life or a group of friends who
just decided to bunk the next class for that 50% off sale, each and every friend of mine has
immense love for this brand. And, this has been made possible only because of Aditya Birla
Group.
I struggled a lot to decide my path towards MBA. I was a biology student who had no idea
about what MBA would bring to my career. Belonging to a business family, I decided to
pursue MBA. And then the biggest struggle to get into the best B-school began. The entrance
preparations were definitely a roller coaster ride, but I was constantly motivated to give my
best. And, VOILA… SIBM PUNE IT IS! Aditya Birla Group has held my hands even when I took
a step into a new journey of the business world. The time span between my admission
confirmation and first day of MBA was quite less. Obviously, business formals are the way-
to-go in MBA colleges. Being a fresher, I was never exposed to the corporate world so I had
no roadmap to build my new wardrobe. This is when, like a knight in the shining armour,
Allen Solly came to my rescue. I still go through stages where I feel I won’t be able to survive
and thrive in the environment such as this as 80% of my batchmates have good amount of
work experience in their respective fields. However, my enthusiasm to survive and thrive
returns to me when the very next morning, I see myself in the mirror wearing business
formals that inculcates a sense of ‘can do it’ attitude in me. I can’t thank Aditya Birla Group
enough for being there with me in every phase of my life.
