"DMS, IIT Delhi Is A Global Brand" - Jin Myung Lee, DMS IIT Delhi, Class Of 2021

I was working with the Industrial Bank of Korea (IBK) in various managerial roles, for the last 13 years.

While working for IBK, we understood that India is amongst the fastest growing economies in the world. Global industrial banks expect India to sustain its high growth rate and become the largest economy in the world in times to come. In the coming years, it will be crucial for the banking industry to integrate advanced IT tools into its operations. On a personal note, I am deeply impressed with the success of an IT specialist in managing their companies like the Google CEO, Mr. Sundar Pichai.

I believe the main factor which leads this growth of India is the education sector, and IIT Delhi is one of the major enablers of higher tier education in the country. IIT Delhi is undoubtedly the top-class academy in the world, it's quite famous in South Korea as well, and I believe it will help me realize my goals & plans. At the moment, with pride as an IIT Delhi student, I am not only studying MBA from the Department of Management Studies but also getting to know India and the Indian culture.

I believe that the Department of Management Studies, IIT Delhi is one of the best places to learn for me, who wants to become a global financial specialist. Moreover, the broad alumni base of DMS, IIT Delhi will help me when I represent IBK in front of Global companies.

With great expectations of learning and making new friends, I joined DMS, IIT Delhi on 5th Aug 2019. The students at DMS are very supportive and help me in every possible aspect. I am happy to live the life of an IITian. This IIT experience will make me more productive & better in many aspects. My friends from DMS and I are also planning to explore Delhi and nearby attractions, which seems really exciting.

I think communication and cooperation between the professors and students form an essential part for any program, & I saw it working pretty well in IITD. Moreover, there is extensive support from IITD for its students in the form of business lectures, committees, hostels, and internship programs. I think these really add value to a student's experience at IITD. Moreover, I saw the students, who even at dawn, discussed and did their best in classes, community activities, and internship preparation. It seems that's why people say India has potential and is a robust country.

I heard students in the DMS came from all parts of India. When I met them, I was surprised to learn that other parts of India have entirely different languages, cultures, and customs. Yet, the integration among the students was so well that I could not feel it at all, I saw them working and having fun together. Such things show that India is diverse but united. Finally, DMS, IIT Delhi provide enough educational facilities for the students to focus on their studies. In other words, DMS, IIT Delhi & its facilities are available anytime for the students. Whenever I get time, I like to spend it in the Library. The Library has got plenty of books which I can read between the lectures. Life at DMS is about hard & smart work, and there are many things to do. In other words, DMS supports students to learn a lot, expand their scope of thought, and develop themselves.

Just walking around the campus feels refreshing.

DMS, IIT Delhi's life is precious & I can't buy it with money. I am informing my colleagues and friends in South Korea about DMS, IIT Delhi & especially to the colleague working in the Human Resource Development and Public Relations domain of IBK. Some of my friends are planning to come to India next year & I am excited to show them the excellent IITD campus.
