While uncertainty reigns over the marketplace dynamics, an enterprising mindset is crucial for leaders to not just survive but also thrive! With an aim to hone these entrepreneurial skills of the students being groomed in leading institutions, the Social, Entrepreneurship and Consulting Cell of SIBM Pune hosted its annual flagship event, Entrepreneurship Summit, 2023. The event featured two industry stalwarts for its guest sessions on the 4th and 5th of January. The event had the honour of hosting Mr Harsimarbir Singh, co-founder of the health tech unicorn Pristyn Care and Mr Ramani Iyer, co-founder of Justdial, India's first local search engine listed on the stock exchange in 2013.
The event also organised five national-level competitions that received an overwhelming response with 6,603 registrations and the participation of students from leading institutes such as IIMs, XLRI, IIT Bombay, IIFT, IIT Kharagpur and NMIMS.
One of the biggest sub-events of E-Summit is Symbihaat: Symbi's own flea market. Through, Symbihaat, budding entrepreneurs get the opportunity to experience the market place, generate profits and gain organic and honest feedback pertaining to their products. Symbihaat hosted 20 such stalls and attracted an audience of roughly 1000 students.
Overall, it was a fulfilling and enriching experience. Right from the guest sessions, to the competition and workshops and finally to Symbihaat, every element was laced with an opportunity to learn, understand and accelerate the growth process. It was truly an unforgettable experience and there will always be more to come and greater to expect from SECC, SIBM Pune!
