IIM Kozhikode, better known as “God’s Own Kampus”, is proud to present the biggest cultural extravaganza of the year, Echoes 2017 will be held from the 3rd to 5th of February, 2017. Over the years, Echoes, the national level annual cultural festival of IIM Kozhikode, has hosted exquisite performances from across the nation comprising of musical splendour, elegant choreography, glamorous fashion-fiesta and transcendent art.
With IIM Kozhikode completing 20 years of academic excellence, Echoes 2017 pays its tribute by emerging in its biggest and finest avatar and breaking all past records. The grandeur of Echoes 2017 resounds around the theme of “Good Old 90's” to remember the golden 90's era, bringing together a potpourri of cultural events and social initiatives on a single platform to make the experience even more memorable this time. This year, Echoes will be hosting the scintillating performer and acclaimed versatile Bollywood singer – KK, who would be visiting the campus on 4th February. Along with the nostalgic melodies, flavours of alternate rock will be presented by the well-known five-piece alternative rock band, Daira comprising Piyush Kapoor on lead vocals on the evening of 3rd February. Campus Princess, one of the primary attractions of Echoes 2017, the campus round for Miss India, will be held on the 5th of February, and the event will be judged by the stunning FBB Femina Miss Grand India 2016, Pankhuri Gidwani. Apart from the celebrity clad pro-nites, Echoes has a chain of flagship events and competitions lined up with a total prize pool of Rs 4 lakh up for grabs. The best rock bands will be fighting it out as all hell breaks loose in Altar of Rock – the Rock Band competition. Concordance witnesses some of the finest dance teams of the country competing with charm and finesse with the audience mesmerized by their graceful performances. Sizzles run down the nerves of campus as participants walk the ramp, complete with bling and shine competing against each other in Rampage, the fashion parade. Apart from that a number literary events, street plays, fine art, quiz and informal fun events are lined up for Echoes 2017, themed around the Good Old 90s era.
With promises overloaded, expectations unlimited, Echoes 2017 brings with it an aura of vivacity and energy with a hint of nostalgia for all 90's kids out there. As the days are approaching, let’s have a shout out for Echoes – Let’s Echo(es) Together!
