You must have come across an ad recently while scrolling through your phone where you see a parent figuring out that their baby’s diapers are over and they need one desperately.
Comes Zepto, an app that helps you with super fast deliveries of essentials in less than 10 minutes! Yes, you heard it right.
But, what exactly goes behind it! Who are the people in the back end making sure that the processes are in place! We spoke to Samrat Paul, an SDA Bocconi Asia Center alumni who has worked previously with delivery giants Swiggy and is now heading the last mile ops for Zepto, a startup that has recently gotten a $100 million funding.
"SDA Bocconi has empowered my business acumen and built a path extending to my existing experience. It has truly been international learning from the worldly faculty with a high level of experience and commercial astuteness. The program did impact my perspective for good" says Samrat. Samrat talks about his journey, why he decided to leave the merchant navy and how he ended up becoming a part of the Indian startup ecosystem. He talks further about the processes he has set up at Zepto and what you should be keeping in mind if you are willing to make a career at startups in India.
