CAT 2024 Registration Guide: How to Fill the CAT 2024 Form

CAT 2024 registrations will begin on 1st August 2024 at 10:00 a.m. In this article, we have covered a detailed guide on how to fill out the CAT 2024 form, the documents required, and listed out the common mistakes to avoid while filling your CAT 2024 Form. Registration to all the IIMs is made through this form only (Except a few new IIMs that have separate forms post CAT 2024 result). You have to fill out the application forms separately for non-IIMs, like MDI, FMS, SPJMIR, etc. on their respective websites.

Registration

1. Visit the Official CAT 2024 Website. 
2. Click on ‘New Candidate Registration’
3. Fill in Personal Details: Enter your name (according to 10th class certificate), date of birth, email address, and mobile number. Ensure all details are accurate as they will be used for future correspondence.
4. Generate OTP- An OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number and email. Validate OTP to verify your registration. Re-verify your basic details.
5. User ID and Password: After verification, your user ID and password will be sent to your email. Note these down for future logins.

Filling the Application Form

Before starting, keep the following documents scanned for uploading:- Your photo, Signature, 10th and 12th Marksheet, and Caste certificate in the prescribed formats mentioned below.

•  Click on Registered User Login/ Go to Application. Use your newly created user ID and password to log in.

NMAT 2024 Notification Out: Check Registration Date, Eligibility, Exam Pattern, and Syllabus

Uploads Required- Photo, Signature, Caste Certificate.    Photograph: Recent passport-sized photograph in JPEG or JPG. Size-1200*1200 pixels.    Signature: A scanned copy of your signature. Maximum size 80 KB.  Ensure the files meet the specified dimensions and formats. “Save and Next” at each step.

   Selecting Programmes

Please click on the “Select All” check box. This will make you eligible for all programs at all the IIMs and save you time when selecting each program separately. It will also ensure you don't miss out on any programs.  Fill out Interview City 1 and Interview City 2 accordingly. 

Test City

• Select up to six cities in order of preference. 
• Allocation will be based on availability. Mostly you will be allotted your 1st preference only but fill out other options carefully. 

Payment of Application Fee

You will have the option to preview the form here. Please proofread. Changes are not allowed once payment is made and the application is submitted.

   - General/EWS/NC-OBC candidates: INR 2,500    - SC/ST/PWD candidates: INR 1,250

2. Mode of Payment:

   - Credit/Debit Card    - Net Banking

3. Submit and Pay: Once payment is successful, print the confirmation page for future reference.

Important:

1. Ensure all details are correct before submitting.
2. Keep a copy of the filled form and payment receipt.
3. Regularly check your email for any updates from the CAT authorities.

Common CAT Form Filling Mistakes:-

1. Spelling Mistakes.
2. Correct CGPA to Percentage. For final-year students, the percentage up to the latest semester.
3. Please keep updated category certificates handy.
