The first annual convocation of MDI Murshidabad is going to be held on Wed, 24th August, 2016 for its first batch of Post Graduate Program in Management (PGPM), class of 2014-2016. Honourable President of India, Shri Pranab Mukherjee is going to grace the occasion, with his august presence as Chief Guest during the upcoming convocation ceremony.
Management development Institute (MDI), launched its second campus after four decades (MDI Gurgaon was established in 1973) at Murshidabad in 2014. The foundation stone was laid at Jangipur, Murshidabad, West Bengal by the then Honorable Union Minister of Finance, Govt. of India, Shri Pranab Mukherjee. Following the rich heritage of MDI Gurgaon, which is considered a premium B-School having successfully created a niche in management education of the country and is consistently ranked among the top 5-10 management schools of India, MDI Murshidabad has done fairly well with the first batch of pass-outs.
The placement report published by MDI Murshidabad witnessed an average CTC of INR 7.85 lacs per annum being offered to the first batch. For the batch of 2015-17, the SIP (Summer Internship Program) placement has been 100%. United Sprits, Religare, LG, Uflex, Kaspersky, Magicbricks, ACC, Tata Web Consulting, Reckitt Benckiser and Tata Steel were among the ones who recruited from the campus.
The leadership at MDI is committed towards imparting “cutting edge management education, creating job centric millennial workforce for organizations to tap”, said spokesperson from MDI Murshidabad, earlier. As for now, all eyes on the Convocation Ceremony scheduled on Aug 24th, 2016.
