IIM Raipur doesn’t have a personal campus, rather it shares its campus with two different colleges. The first time I entered the campus my mind did a 360 degree flip, astonished how can this be. The whole college was located in one building. Initially, I thought there must be a separate hostel at least but that wasn’t the case. I was confused, as of how the two batches of post-graduation program fit into one block. How the classes, hostel rooms, mess etcetera managed in this space.
But my perception of how this situation of a national college fitting into one building with hostels attached changed completely. The classes run perfectly without any disturbance. The whole second floor is girls hostel, with plenty of rooms and space. The boys are accommodated in the basement as well as the first floor being they are greater in number. The mess is big enough for all of us to eat.
But the campus of IIM Raipur isn’t special because of the fact that it is so small and in one building. The speciality lies in the closeness it provides to the students of IIM Raipur. Because of such a small space, we get to live, we are bound to meet each other every now and then in the hallways, lobby or the mess. This not only helps us to remember each other's faces but also to make a unique bond which would not have been possible with a state of the art infrastructure with a separate building for classes, hostels, and mess.
The girls in my dorm know all my secrets because the rooms are not closed from the top and everybody could listen to everybody through the thin sheets. This may seem like a hindrance to privacy but as I see it, it's just another way to make strong bonds which are unbreakable. Every night the girls in my dorm gather in one room and make memories that will stay with me for the lifetime.
This above and beyond experience can only be felt with this type of a small and engaging campus.

The Aditya Birla Group company I would like to join is “ALLEN SOLLY”. The reason to chose Allen Solly would be because fashion is something which I love and understand. Allen Solly not only provide high end, up to date apparel collection but it also provides affordable, mass catering clothes for all age group. This is the uniqueness of Allen Solly which attracts me the most towards it. A job doesn’t feel like a job when you love doing what you do.
