After graduating from NIT Jamshedpur, Palak Kumar decided to pursue his passion for quizzing. At the crossroads of his career, he decided to get into quizzing leaving aside his engineering career. The seeds germinated quite early in his career, but it got cemented further while he conducted quizzes during his engineering days. What followed was a journey filled with hosting over 150 quiz shows for schools, colleges, and corporates all over Asia. Palak joined as a Quiz Master at Greycaps- Asia’s largest onstage quizzing and knowledge services right after his engineering and many saw it as career suicide. But, Palak had his goals chalked out in his head. From interacting with kids under a tree in different rural belts of the country to staying in posh hotels conducting quizzes for corporates, Palak got a taste of both the worlds in his stint at Greycaps. His work involved researching, curating and conducting quizzes and in the process, he started to interact better with people at every level.

During this time, Palak thought of acquiring new skills and understanding the business side of things better and that is when he decided to go for an MBA. His quizzing background and the experience helped him immensely in cracking the CAT in his very first attempt and landed him at IIM Kozhikode. With an intent to give back to society, Palak wants to work in a set up which doesn’t only think about the P&Ls, but goes beyond it to contribute to the betterment of the people.
