A natural storyteller and an avid design lover, IMT Ghaziabad alum Apoorv Sharma decided to take a trip down memory lane with InsideIIM. On one winter afternoon, with chirping squirrels and a live cricket match for the company, the conversation about his cherished past took place at the heart of the lush green IMT Ghaziabad campus.
With more than 12 years of experience in the technology and digital space, Apoorv has worked in varied roles in some of the most desirable companies in the country including the apple of everyone’s eyes, THE APPLE Inc.
Be it being part of the telecom giant of its time, Vodafone or the rising e-commerce superstar Flipkart, Apoorv had somehow managed to land up in companies that were at their pinnacle during his stint. From building brands to establishing teams and executing disruptive campaigns for companies, Apoorv shares all the stories from the past with a pinch of personal touch to them.
From Flipkart, Apoorv moved to head the Worldwide Product Marketing at Amazon, a shift that probably very few could describe better than him. Currently working at Apple in the Marketing Communications department, Apoorv is scripting the Apple story for its next billion users in India.
The professional journey which started at the very campus of IMT Ghaziabad for Apoorv has been on the trot resulting in him live and work in more than 50 cities across the world. And what better place it would be to tell the journey than the very campus of IMT Ghaziabad!
