We were best friends from graduation. Then she met her Ron Weasley and we parted ways.

An unforgettable day of my life. We both were happy that we could make into one of the premier b-schools. Most importantly, in the same b-school – SCMHRD.
Prior to joining the MBA program, we made many plans as to how would we spend our two years at the same place, share our experiences with each other and importantly, how would we have a support system in each other to share our ups and downs with. Everything to me was well planned but apparently, destiny had its own plans and so did she.
After joining the college, initial few days were exceptionally well. Lushing green campus. Cosmopolitan cultures. Student diversity. Rock and Roll parties. Outings. Everything was new. Everything was fascinating. Also, the two of us were having a great time in the new world of b-school but then the “
great time” didn’t last for long.
The life began to take an unexpected turn. It was our fresher's party from where the story of
Hermione (my friend) and
Ron (my batchmate) started taking the road to love. Thereafter, I could see them hanging around together in the campus, slapsticks in the study enclosure, sipping the cold-coffees in one-mug-two-straw fashion in the Cafeteria, one waiting outside the classroom for other to come out and end the day walking hand in hand after the dinner down the playing arena. Amid this was I, who has left aside and I could decode the happening around me quite easily. Our talks got lesser. Texting was a fortnight affair now. We rarely met in the college. Even if we met coincidentally, we had only
Hi &
Bye to exchange with each other. I tried several times to reach out to her and converse, but then she was such deeply sinking in Ron that for me trying to invest time in her was like investing money in a bankrupt firm, where you cannot expect a single penny in return. So, I decided not to intervene between them. I didn’t want to be the Voldemort of their story. So, I started engaging myself in my own life – of new friends, studies, and other college activities.
Things remained same thereafter. The air between the two of us got heavier due to increasing silence and growing emotional strife.
For now, it’s been around four months here in this college and the situation is quite different now than it was in the initial months – different in a sombre way. But I firmly believe, the grass would be greener and would be growing exponentially on the other side of the tale. I could envisage a new love story evolving out of this college. Touchwood!
Psst! Hogwarts may see showers of love in future till then, let Hermione and Ron bake their love story perfectly and let Harry enjoy the matinee!
