Harshil Sharma, hailing from Indore, navigates through three distinct life phases: academic success, a setback during his stint at the National Defence Academy (NDA), and a resilient rebound. Excelling in academics, including earning the INSPIRE scholarship, he left NDA prematurely but persevered, achieving academic excellence in B.Tech at NIT - Bhopal. His professional journey includes an internship at JPMorgan Chase & Co., where he received a Pre-Placement Offer and worked as a software developer for almost two years. Actively engaged in extracurriculars, CSR initiatives, and entrepreneurship, Harshil aspires to begin his career in consultancy and eventually establish his own organization, driven by a diverse skill set and a passion for sports and fitness. Harshil Sharma's problem-solving approach involves a methodical and logical analysis. He provides an example of a complex problem he faced at JP Morgan, where he led a team in migrating to AWS Cloud while integrating existing applications with new technologies. Through careful planning, collaboration, and adapting to unexpected challenges, Harshil successfully completed the migration, emphasizing the importance of teamwork in achieving exceptional results. In handling failure or setbacks, Harshil adopts a positive and resilient mindset. He shares a personal experience of the postponement of the Kaladarshan event at IIT Bombay due to COVID-19. Harshil's approach involves self-reflection, learning from mistakes, seeking feedback, staying positive, seeking support, and setting new goals. He emphasizes the value of setbacks as opportunities for growth. Harshil discusses a difficult ethical decision during his college leadership roles. Faced with a friend seeking an unfair advantage, he prioritized integrity over compromising his values. Harshil communicated honestly with his friend, maintaining ethical standards and reinforcing the importance of fairness in actions. Negotiating with stakeholders during his entrepreneurial venture required open communication, understanding needs, and finding win-win solutions. Harshil's approach involved fostering collaboration within his team, addressing concerns transparently, and creatively overcoming challenges. This experience highlighted the importance of negotiation skills, teamwork, and a positive, solution-oriented mindset. Harshil believes he deserves recognition as one of India's Most Promising Incoming MBA Students in 2023 due to his academic excellence, leadership roles, community service, and passion for creating positive change. He highlights his achievements, experiences at the National Defence Academy, entrepreneurial journey, and aspirations in the consulting industry as indicators of his commitment and potential contributions to the MBA program and the business world.
