Dr. Pathak is a faculty in the Strategy and Entrepreneurship area at IIM Nagpur. Prior to joining IIM Nagpur, he had over 17 years of international work experience across industry and academia.
Dr. Pathak has taught various Strategy, International Business, Design Thinking, Innovation and Management Consulting courses at top b-schools such as XLRI Jamshedpur, National Institute of Design Ahmedabad, Entrepreneurship Development Institute Ahmedabad, and SIBM Pune.
He has designed and delivered executive education programmes and consultancy assignments for numerous organizations such as Indian Oil Corp. Ltd., Tata Steel, Power Grid Ltd., Mineral Exploration Corporation Ltd., Manganese Ore India Ltd., Ultratech Cement, Canara Bank, NTPC Ltd., Balmer-Lawrie Ltd., Birla White, ZIM Labs, Transrail Lighting, Ratnasagar Publishing, Reliance Industries, Kirloskar, Amdocs, ThoughtWorks Technologies, Transrail Lighting, and Wadeshwar Group.
Dr. Pathak’s research has been published in numerous journals. He has received best-paper awards when presenting his research at various national and international conferences. He was awarded the Best Thesis Award, the Chaudhary Padmanabhan Pant Award, and a merit scholarship for his scholastic achievements at IIM Ahmedabad.
Prior to joining academia, Dr. Pathak has had wide ranging international work experience in the Banking, Information Technology, and Consulting industries across multiple geographies ranging from UK and South Africa to Singapore and India. He has experience in various roles such as strategic planning, project management, business analysis and key-client relationship management. He has taken up various responsibilities across organizations such as Barclays UK, Nedcor Bank South Africa, ThoughtWorks Technologies, ABN AMRO Bank and Tata Motors. His wide ranging experience shows up in the form of nuanced and in depth classes where his students say ‘90 minutes pass by as if they were 9.’
