My first ever familiarity with the Aditya Birla Group goes back to the time when I was competing with the best minds across India to clear the entrance examination of one of the most reputed engineering institutes all over India, Birla Institute of technical studies, Pilani. That was the time I came to know that the ABG group is associated with excellence and passion. And ever since, I have come across numerous scenarios where the ABG group touches my life as a consumer and enhances it through the sheer excellence of the services it offers.
Recently I was overwhelmed with a bittersweet feeling when my parents decided to rebuild our house, one that my grandparents built long back for our family and one where I grew up. Although I adored all the nostalgia that the house carried with it, we were longing for a significant change. The process of reconstruction began in full swing. The value of cement, a major ingredient that goes into a construction process and provides the overall structural strength, is unarguably very important. What I was surprised to see was that despite being so many brands of cement in the market, everyone, be it the architect or shopkeepers or construction workers, unequivocally recommended us to go with Ultratech cement. They deemed it as the most pure and reliable cement brand in India. And it was quite a revelation for me when I came to know from my family that our older house was also built using

I can confidently and proudly boast of ABG as our home grown Indian brand that stands strong among international brands, be it in the field of apparels, telecom, agribusiness, chemicals, textiles, finance and what not. My tryst with a heart-breaking failure -
Failure is the best teacher in life, this is something that I stand by as I have had the first-hand experience of this in my life at a crucial stage in my life. This incident also goes back to the time I was preparing for my engineering entrance examinations, where during my first attempt I failed miserably at securing my desired colleges. I was shattered as this was something I had never experienced on such a large scale and stage in my life before. I had only two choices – either to compromise with my dreams and settle for something I did not want or two to strike back again with a dedicated and focused attempt and conquer what I had wished for. Though easy as it seems, it was a tough decision as solely I would be responsible for its consequences. I went ahead of my fear and took the path less travelled, and as Robert Frost said, it made all the difference! I secured a much better college and moreover I gathered the experience of believing in myself and my abilities. This failure was a valuable life lesson and has helped me in achieving many such successes further in life.
