- The first thing that I will ideally tell you is to focus on academics and the electives that you have taken. The chances of you being asked something from your electives is extremely high. Also, given the fact that at some colleges, it is mandatory to put your final GPA in your final CV, it becomes all the more imperative for you to streamline your GPA and make it more presentable.
- Read. Read a lot about what is happening in the Business world. Download applications like MoneyControl and daily ideas to get yourself a daily dosage of what is happening in and around you. Beyond that, getting a Ken subscription is something that might do wonders for you. Practical domain knowledge and insights as to what is happening in the outside world is something that will act as a breather for you.
- Brush up on your CV. When you will be interviewing for these interns or other projects, you will have a lot of re-runs of your CV. If not nothing, you will realise the several mistakes you would have made while framing the same. Use this process for the same and stay updated and ahead of the curve in terms of CV prep so that you do not have to face last moment hiccups.
- Case prep. I don’t have to specify the importance of this point as the relevance is across sectors. Marketing, Consulting, Gen Man – in all these domains case prep is something that will come in extremely handy to you. If you are focusing on Finance, then ideally I would say you should try brushing the main concepts pertaining to this domain and also get some insights with regards to the stock market and crypto as they are the hot cake so to say in the current market.
