About Me
I am a self-motivated, level-headed and confident person by nature. I have always motivated myself to bring out the
best in me. Knowing my own calibre, having faith in my abilities, working on my weaknesses and striving towards excellence have worked for me. I have put in lots of effort to any project work that I have taken up. I have worked relentlessly towards achieving the
best results. People admire my soft-spoken and motivating nature. All these qualities have helped me to be the person I am today. My successful academic career is a result of the qualities mentioned above. My recent stint with a major MNC during my summer internship helped me to get a PPI from the firm as a result of my sheer hard work and perseverance.
If you were the Prime Minister of India, what would be the one problem that you would solve? Please explain your reasons.
The problem that I would like to solve is the poor sex ratio of our country. The reasons are:
Because of having a ratio sex ratio of around 908 (average of the country) we talk of women empowerment. We talk of gender equality. We talk of having gender diversity in workplaces, educational institutions. People who give birth to girls feel it is an opportunity cost. In our patriarchal society, the traditional belief is that the boy is a profit center and a girl is a cost centre of the company called "family".
If we have to change this mentality, we need to have a healthy sex ratio in the country. This will lead to a healthy growth in the country where we will not have to focus on inclusion. It will be a country in which men and women will be same and will be a part of development activities. There will be no gender disparity and no gender based reservation. Equality will prevail and our minds will truly be without fear.
If you had unlimited money, what would be that one mobile application that you would create and what problem would it solve?
We find many people who have very restricted movement because of defunct limbs or because of old age. SmartHome app takes a cue from the requirement of such people. The device has a very wide range of beneficiaries. This device will aid the elderly and disabled to a great extent compensating for their immobility. The elderly and the differently abled people will be able to operate all the nearby electrical devices by pressing a single button on the mobile app. SmartHome will have a mobile interface and an actuator unit which can be easily integrated into existing electrical wiring. The app can operate omni-directionally unlike the traditional remote control which operates in a unidirectional manner. The advantages of such an automation system are: it is a programmable controller, two-way data communication is possible using this system and status monitoring is possible for all devices. Also, as the system uses radio frequency to operate, it will function properly despite the presence of walls or obstacles.
