IIM Ahmedabad, the coordinating IIM for CAT 2021, has released its latest selection criteria for admission to its esteemed PGP program. IIM Ahmedabad has made no changes to its admission policy as compared to 2020. Here is a simple breakdown of IIM Ahmedabad's latest admission policy and selection criteria for admission to the PGP batch of 2022-2024 through CAT 2021.
IIM Ahmedabad Admission Criteria 2021 - Important Points To Keep In Mind
- The weightage of the CAT 2021 score remains at 65% in 2021. This means that the candidate's profile carries a weight of 35% in the shortlisting process for the Academic Writing Test and Personal Interview (AWT-PI) round.
- Candidates with work experience less than 12 months will be awarded no points, while candidates with work experience greater than 36 months will be awarded the maximum points.
- There has been no change in the CAT minimum cut-offs for the general category.
- There has been no change in the weight of components in the calculation of the final composite score, i.e., for final selection of students for the MBA batch of 2024.
- In the AWT-PI round, a candidate's personal interview performance will hold 50% weight in calculation of the final composite score. Candidates' CAT 2021 score will account for 25% of the weight.
