In recent years, CAT was conducted over 2 slots to accommodate the large pool of candidates appearing for the exam. In 2020, however, the CAT exam was broken down into 3 slots, owing to the challenges posed by the pandemic and the necessity to maintain social-distancing.
The exam slot allocation happens randomly by CAT authorities and candidates wonder if they are at an advantage or disadvantage based on their slot. For example, exam takers in the first slot feel that the final slot takers already know the difficulty level of the paper in general, while the latter group feels that they experience a harder paper.
InsideIIM brings you an exclusive webinar, "Does the slot matter in CAT?", to throw light on this issue. Hosted by Debrup Poddar, 99.11%iler in CAT 2020 & winner of InsideIIM's YouTube content creator hunt, the panel consists of distinguished CAT achievers who share their take on the significance of slots and whether it plays a bigger role in the final CAT percentile!
