IIM Indore's admission criteria for 2023 are now out. This admissions season, IIM Indore has set the minimum overall CAT 2022 cut-off at the 90th percentile. The sectional cut-offs are at the 80th percentile. While shortlisting candidates for the PI round, IIM Indore will assign a massive 80% weight to a candidate's profile and only 20% weight to their CAT scores. Here is a quick breakdown of IIM Indore's selection criteria for the 2023 admissions cycle.

Quick Breakdown of IIM Indore's 2023 PGP Admission Criteria

IIM Indore's 2023 admissions process has three steps. First, about 90% of all CAT 2022 test-takers are filtered out based on the minimum cut-offs. If you make it in the top-10%, then you're evaluated on the basis of certain selection criteria, based on which you either move on to the PI stage or get eliminated. Finally, if everything goes well in the PI stage, you either get an admission offer or a rejection offer. Let's take a closer look at this process.
Stage 1 - Screening out candidates based on minimum CAT cut-offs
To make it past the very first step of IIM Indore's admissions process, you need to meet the minimum cut-offs set by the institute. For the 'General' category, the CAT 2022 cut-offs have been set at the 90th percentile (overall) and the 80th percentile (sectional). So, even if you do get a 90th percentile overall score but miss out even a single sectional cut-off, you don't move forward. Please remember that simply meeting the cut-offs doesn't mean you're through to the PI round. That comes later.
Stage 2 - Shortlisting candidates for the PI round
At this stage, we're left with 10% of all CAT 2022 test-takers. Now, further filtering will take place based on specific selection criteria. In the case of IIM Indore, these criteria include 10th marks, 12th marks, CAT performance, and diversity. By January 2023, shortlisted candidates will be sent an email confirming their progression to the PI stage.
Stage 3 - Shortlisting candidates for final admission
If you were shortlisted in Stage 2, you'll undergo IIM Indore's PI process. This year, IIM Indore has excluded the Writing Ability Test (WAT) component from the selection process, so you won't have to worry about that. The rest of the shortlisting criteria are mentioned below. If you make it in the final shortlist, you'll be extended an admission offer around April 2023, and you'll become a part of IIM I's PGP batch of 2025!
