Life was easy for me until 12th. I was a studious person and passed out with flying colours. Entering into my graduation, major challenges awaited me. The academics part was not taking up well and some problems in personal life also let me down. All this made my life unsettled like a season full of drought. Passing out in 2014 from my graduation, I knew I did not want to get into a technical job so I waited, got an opportunity and got into an administrative role. The drought in my life continued still. It was then that I decided to appear for CAT and enter an IIM.
As my academics was not well verse off, my friends and family discouraged me initially. But I was sure that with my work experience of 3 years in sales & administration in various companies, my graduation academics will be the last thing that will be affecting my admissions. I started my preparations in 2017 January with a plan to appear for CAT 2017. Even though there were many discouragements from various parts, I was focused to carry out my preparations along with my Job. Friends and family were suggesting me to quit my job. I, on the contrary, was determined to prove a point.
After the CAT 2017 results, I was shortlisted in for CAP, Lucknow and Indore IIMs and that is when I decided to quit my job from Byjus in January 2018. I started my preparations for the interview on a full scale and gave the interview well to gain admission here in IIM Kashipur. The journey of my life from the drought season to the current surplus season was a real challenge in my life and the lessons learned has made me a more confident person and now, I am awaiting the harvest.
