It was 14
th June when I first stepped into Raipur. The day was quite sunny that day. I was quite excited and nervous, both at the same time. I didn’t know what was about to happen. I was hoping these two years would be one of the best 2 years of my life.
So, I and my father boarded a cab to our campus as I had my registration on that same day. After boarding the cab, we reached around in 20 minutes. This was the moment, this is it, this was something that I was waiting for a long time. After seeing the logo of IIM Raipur, I felt satisfaction.
After I was done with my registration and becoming officially the student of IIM Raipur, I just wanted to explore almost everything about the campus. Starting from the main gate, We have got a pretty big ground which is lush green, where we play football and cricket. We have got two parks on the campus, both of which have got open gym equipment which we can use anytime. Strolling in the parks is one of the most rejuvenating things that we have here.
Since everybody works day in and day out and nobody sleeps, we have got two cafeterias for us, one of which is open 24x7. A fully equipped gym inside the campus is also present for the students. The mess food is so good that it just feels like home. Moreover, we have classrooms which are spacious and air-conditioned.
The culture here is unique because nobody sleeps and everyone keeps doing things that would add value to their life.
Which ABG company you want to work for and why?
I want to pursue a career in finance and for that, I would like to work for Aditya Birla Capital. It is among the best private NBFCs and I would like to be a part of it. I would like to work on challenging assignments that develop me as a whole. Moreover, I would want to gain a deeper insight into strategic financial planning. This would help me take myself to a better position and improve gradually.
