IIM Shillong admission policy 2021 has now been released by the institute. The admission to PGP 2022-24 batch will be in two phases. In Phase 1, candidates will be shortlisted for Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI). In Phase 2, based on the GD, PI, CAT & Academic performance, the final merit list will be prepared for the offer of admission to the PGP 2022-24 batch. The process in each of these phases is described in the following sections.
IIM Shillong Admission Policy Phase 1 – Shortlist for GD and PI
All candidates who have opted (as per the CAT-2021 application) for IIM Shillong PGP 2022-24 batch are eligible for consideration in Phase 1. The minimum requirement of marks in various sections of CAT for candidates across different categories to be considered for GD & PI is given in Table1.
Over and beyond this, candidates will also be judged basis their academic discipline, their background and diversity and using statistic measures and taking into consideration the total number of students attempting the paper, a percentage of individuals from each category will be shortlisted for the first stage of the interview process.
IIM Shillong Admission Policy Phase 2 – Final shortlist
After the GD and PI process, scores across the student’s life will be taken into consideration for calculating the final composite score. This includes score in 10
th, 12
th graduation, score in PI and Overall CAT Score. These scores will again be normalized to come up with a final composite score.
Basis these criteria and normalization putting to play in the background the overall composite score and the rank of the candidate will be put in the forefront.
