The institute saw an impressive 20.5 percent increase in the average salary offered, while the highest salary increased by an incredible 73 percent over the previous year and stood at INR 55.22 lakhs. A total of 73 recruiters participated in the final placements process, including top brands like Amazon, Goldman Sachs, HSBC, JP Morgan, Mahindra Group, PayTM, Nomura, Deloitte, ITC and many others. - IIM Shillong recorded a highest salary of INR 55.22 lakhs - a figure that's increased by 73 percent over the previous year
- The average salary increased by 20.5 percent over the previous year and stood at INR 23.10 lakhs
- The average of the top-10 percent of offers stood at INR 33.18 lakhs, and of the top-20 percent stood at INR 31.31 lakhs
- The average of the top half of salaries offered to IIM Shillong's 2022 batch stood at INR 26.95 lakhs
- The average salary for female students stood at INR 24.05 lakhs
- This year, 30 percent of all offers were for Consulting and Strategy roles, followed by Sales and Marketing at 19 percent and Finance at 18 percent

In 2022, IIM Shillong witnessed a 73 percent increase in the highest salary offered, and nearly a 21 percent increase in the average salary offered to the MBA batch. This leap in salaries offered is greater than
what's been recorded at many top-ranked b-schools this year.
The number of participating recruiters increased by 14 percent. There was a 16 percent increase in the average of the top half of salaries offered to IIM Shillong's MBA batch of 2022. There was also a 17 percent increase in the average of the top-20 percent of salaries offered this year.
