Eugansh Khatri, BPCL

Prep: It all started with building my CV by doing various courses and attending workshops to outstand the shortlisting criteria. After I got selected in BPCL, I went to the Noida office for my onboarding process.

Project: Our responsibilities in the internship can be divided into three parts:

Takeaways: Due to the virtual model, we faced situations that challenged us in ways nobody ever thought of. My fellow interns were my significant support for figuring out the daily problems and obstructions I faced. Some important life lessons which I learned in these two months were:

Nitesh Singh, BPCL

Prep: Amidst the pandemic, I somehow managed to get an internship in a reputed company unlike many who were denied opportunity this year. Doing MBA in online mode, giving interviews virtually is challenging and so was the internship at BPCL. Being a reputed PSU, the challenge was immense but equally enriching.

Project: My internship location was Mumbai and as known to the world as the City of Dreams, it indeed is true to the saying. This was my first visit to the financial capital and I was excited and equally anxious about my first day of internship. On the first day of the internship, I met my mentor, VR Sudhakar Sir, and was introduced to other senior employees of BPCL working there. Afterward, I was introduced to what BPCL was doing and then briefed about my projects. We were a team of three and were assigned projects for finding suitable locations for Wayside Amenities (WSAs) on the upcoming Delhi-Mumbai Expressway and Yamuna Expressway. We gave our best to figure out the locations considering all the scenarios and were appreciated by the guide for work. We were supposed to work on the field as well, but the second wave of pandemic struck, and we had to stick to our rooms and do the work.

Takeaways: Finally, with all the ups and downs, learnings and unlearning, excitement and anxiety, and to the best possible extent, I learned from the internship and completed it. My mantra was, is, and will always be to NEVER GIVE UP and GIVE YOUR BEST without thinking much about the result.
