Think your score and percentile can land you a b-school interview? Fantastic! But we've got some bad news for you. The odds are against you. Preparing for the exams to actually crack it and land-up in the top-five or top-ten percentile takes a ton of hard work. But compared to the gravity of what's next, itwas a cakewalk. Till now, you've been through an elimination process. You're now the crème de la crème of all test-takers. But now, the real challenge begins: standing shoulder to shoulder with the very best, and winning.

Why Google won't get you through a b-school interview

A lot of MBA aspirants that do well in the exams become complacent and forget that the real challenge begins now. Why? It's simple. If you're expecting a b-school call soon, you're likely in the top-five percent of all test-takers who appeared for the exam. This means you're competing with about 10,000 aspirants who are as hungry for a b-school seat as you are. If you're in the top-ten percent, that number doubles. But what are the number of seats? For the top-ranked IIMs, about 500 on average. For others like SPJIMR, FMS, MDI, about 300 seats on average. This means that only 5% of those who make it to the WAT-PI round will get into the top IIMs. And from whoever's left, about 10% will make it to other top colleges. Not the best odds. This is why it's a huge mistake to lean on only Google to get as many tips and read as many interview experiences as you can. You'll be surprised how many candidates miss out on opportunities because they didn't do enough.

So, how do you 'do enough?'

Everyone asks what b-schools are looking for in ideal candidates. There are many factors that come into play. But at the end of the day, b-schools only want candidates who bring real value to the classroom, and those that can be placed. So, the result of your WAT-PI experience boils down to how well you present yourself as employable, and whether you're able to show you'll be able to keep-up your peers and the gruelling pedagogy. This means your answer to "Why MBA" needs to be solid and distinct. Your CV and SoPs need to be on point. You need to be able to understand the WAT topic well and write a powerful essay (which you may later be questioned on). If you're a fresher, you need to know what questions to expect around your undergrad. If you have some work experience, you need to know what the panel will ask you about your work and industry. You need to show that you have the general knowledge and awareness that matches what a top b-school demands. Hell, you need to be able to impactfully "introduce yourself" in a way that takes the interview in the direction you want it to go. It's a sales pitch for the arguably the most important sale of your career. To be prepared for any curve ball that might come your way, you need an edge that Google or templatized WAT-PI courses won't ever give you. You need to learn from those who had the exact same goals as you, but those who actually achieved those goals.

We can help you get where you want to go

We started the WAT-PI Bootcamp because we know that there's no one silver bullet to crack an interview. Cookie-cutter templates don't work when you have to stand out. We wanted to give aspirants a real chance to make it to their dream b-school. And we did it. From the 121 aspirants who trusted us with WAT-PI preparation, 85% converted at least one of their top-five calls. More than 75% converted one of their top-three calls. And 61 candidates converted their best b-school calls. The odds are tough. But we can help you beat them with a program that's tailored to you.
