The 2023 placements season went exceptionally well for IIT Madras — the institute saw the average salary go up by a massive 21% over last year, also seeing a 21% increase in the highest salary offered. IITs Bombay, Delhi, Roorkee, Kanpur, and Kharagpur also saw significant gains. IITs Kharagpur and Delhi, in particular, saw an impressive 16%+ increase in the median salaries.
