MBA exams approach, keeping up with the deadlines for entrance exams and searching for suitable B-schools can be a challenging task. To facilitate students' registration for
MBA entrance exams while simultaneously applying to their preferred B-schools, we have compiled a list of
MBA registration exam dates in 2023.
Note: It is essential to register for entrance exams and apply separately to various B-schools. Some students successfully register for the entrance exams but overlook the B-school application, which can lead to difficulties in gaining admission to their desired B-schools. Therefore, ensure that you both register for the entrance exams and apply to the B-schools. The following details will help you keep track of important deadlines for various MBA entrance exams and provide application details for various B-schools. Please keep a note of them diligently.
MBA Entrance Exam Deadlines – 2023/2024
CAT is a crucial entrance exam for securing admission to your desired MBA program. However, it is advisable to explore multiple paths to reach the same destination. You can register for other exams as well, as they might offer alternative routes to your MBA goal through B-schools. In case your primary path choice does not work out, this approach can be beneficial.

Important Note:
- NMIMS requires you to submit your application before your NMAT exam begins for your candidature to be accepted. Refer to their guidelines for more details.
- IIM Mumbai has revised its eligibility criteria, allowing students who have completed or are in their final year of any bachelor's degree to apply for an MBA program. Check their website for eligibility information.
- Indian candidates cannot apply with GMAT scores for batches 24-26 at MDI.
- IMT is accepting CMAT scores for two centers: Nagpur and Hyderabad.
B-Schools With Their Entrance Examinations
The following B-schools have their entrance examinations and do not require additional applications. During the registration process, students must select their preferred B-schools.
IIMs
There are exceptions for certain IIMs, including IIM Rohtak, IIM Amritsar, IIM Visakhapatnam, IIM Nagpur, and IIM Mumbai, which require separate applications.
Symbiosis (SIBM, SCMHRD, etc.):
Students registering for Symbiosis must pay separate fees for each program they are applying to.
XLRI:
XLRI is included in XAT registration, simplifying the process for students who wish to choose XLRI.
MICA:
Admission to MICA requires taking at least one of the three exams: CAT, XAT, or GMAT. MICAT is an additional exam that students should take apart from CAT/XAT/GMAT.
IIFT:
Students must apply/register for IIFT separately, with registrations starting soon. Additionally, IIFT is now accepting CAT SCORES for 2023.
Please note that the IIFT exam for 2023 has been canceled.
