Whether you're joining a B-School in a couple of months, or you're appearing for CAT 2020, you should give this a read.
Why should you work as a volunteer and help others? Well, there are so many reasons as to why you may take up volunteer work. The most important reason being you're passionate about that particular cause, or maybe in general, you like to help. There's another school of thought that believes that doing volunteer work improves your profile. And they are absolutely right as well. If you're going for your interviews, you have something additional to talk about - and if you're joining your B-School, you'll have a CV point to add (trust us, it comes in handy!).
Moreover, volunteer experience illustrates the important skills you possess and shows your involvement in the community. The volunteer experience will help you:
- Make your profile better (and stand out!)
- Show competencies which might be missing from other areas of your CV/resume
- Highlight achievements which are not a part of your professional or internship experience
- Convey your values and character
Therefore, go the extra mile while volunteering.
With this, we present a volunteering opportunity for you where you get the chance to give it back to the society in these trying times. Read on!
