What have been your two biggest successes in life? What did you learn from them?
- Getting Sainik School admission in 2006 - Sometimes, you get into something without the big picture ahead. I owe my everything to that particular admission. That completely changed my future.
- Getting AIR 3862 in IIT(JEE) 2014 - In 2013, I scored less than 20% marks in IIT(JEE) exam. I couldn't find myself anywhere on the list. I learnt the value of hard work and discipline.
Professionally, what is your ideal image of yourself five years from now? Where do you see yourself?
My ultimate goal for the next five years is to master my position and advance into a managerial role in the corporate world. Over the next five years, I see myself taking on new and exciting projects within my college and later in a company that will prepare me for big impactful roles and positions in the future. The immediate plan is to assimilate as much knowledge and skills as much as I can.
What is the one skill or characteristic you possess that you are most proud of, and why?
I am very empathetic. I understand it is not the most sought-after characteristic in a manager, but I value it the most. I can relate to various people and understand their points of view. I have realized this the most in my three years of working experience. But in a certain way, it has helped me understand ground-level reality and planning my strategy considering that.

Tell us about an ethical dilemma that you may have faced, and how you resolved it.
Recently I had to face the dilemma of whether to firing an employee under me or not. The person was very nice in nature and doing alright in his work. But due to the criticality of the work, even a small mistake was not acceptable. He was creating too many errors in his work. I talked to him and made him understand the requirement of the job and how critical it is. I didn't get to see any improvement in him, and I had to fire him. I had a word with my boss regarding the same and how I felt bad while asking that person to go. My boss made me understand why we have to make certain decisions and gave me comfort. He said the process is important. If the process fails, there won't be any job to be saved.
If you were the CEO of any company of your choosing, which company would you choose and what would your first action be as CEO?
I would love to be CEO of Tata Motors. As CEO of the Company, I would understand the organization structure and product portfolio. I would get to know the key people in the top management and try to understand the key business levers of the company in detail. I will focus more on EV Divison and try to make it one of the best in the world.
