In 2022, the JBIMS placements process saw the graduating batch receive salaries of up to 42 lakhs. The median and average salaries not only saw a remarkable increase, but stood at par with salary figures at many top-ranked IIMs. The "CEO factory" also recorded an increase in the number of participating recruiters. JBIMS is amongst
India's leading business schools, not just in terms of pedagogy but also recruitment. In 2022, JBIMS recorded average and median salaries that were at par with and even higher than
those at some of the top IIMs. The year-on-year growth was also phenomenal, which is significant after slowed growth in the peak pandemic years. Here's a look at the key salary figures from the placement report.
- The highest salary stood at INR 42 lakhs, down from INR 44 lakhs last year.
- The average salary stood at INR 27.63 lakhs, up by an impressive 19 percent over the previous year.
- The median salary stood at INR 26.48 lakhs, also up by 19 percent over the previous year.
- The average of the top-10% of salaries offered stood at INR 34.22 lakhs—a relative increase of 6 percent over the previous year.
- The average of the top-30% of salaries stood at INR 29.62 lakhs, increasing by 9 percent over last year.
JBIMS Placement 2022: Key Recruitment Highlights
- Over 75 companies participated in the final placement process at JBIMS in 2022, including 22 new participating companies.
- Top brands on campus included Reliance Industries, Adani Group, Avendus, Bank of America, JPMC, Accenture Strategy, Marico, Colgate-Palmolive among many others.
- The the graduating MMS Class of 2022 received a total of 65 pre-placement offers (PPOs)/pre-placement interviews (PPIs), up by 20 percent from last year.
- The Consulting sector emerged as the most sought-after for the MMS batch, with nearly 4 out of 10 students opting for roles at Consulting companies. Next in line was the BFSI and Investment Banking sector, followed by the FMCG and Pharmaceuticals sectors.

Consulting emerged as the most sought after domain, accounting for 39% of the total offers received. Companies here offered several roles such as Management, Strategy & Tech Consulting. The BFSI sector witnessed prestigious companies offering coveted roles like Advisory, Capital Markets, Investment Banking, Product Management, Treasury, Wholesale Banking, etc.
Tech and ecommerce companies offered several roles in Corporate Development, Financial Planning & Analysis, Merger & Acquisition, Product Management, Sales & Marketing and Strategy & Planning.
The FMCG, Pharma and Healthcare sectors saw leading firms offer coveted roles such as Corporate Finance, General Management and Sales & Marketing. Conglomerates offered diverse roles
in Finance, General Management and Sales & Marketing.
Roles offered by companies in other sectors included offered roles in Data Analytics, General Management, Product Management, Sales & Marketing and Strategy.
