Whenever we see or hear any of the multinational corporations getting featured in a comedy show or any light-hearted meme fight, there is this one department that gets featured the most; the HR department. On one side, perception around HR is that the ‘R’ in HR stands for Rangoli. On the other, top HR institute graduates get paid more than 15 LPA. So, are we miscalculating the role of an HR in an organization or not fully aware of what they really do? To answer these questions, team InsideIIM got in touch with Mr. Amit Chincholikar, Group Chief Human Resource Officer at TATA Consumer Products as part of this episode of CXO Central.

With more than 2 decades of experience in Human resources, Mr. Chincholikar has worked with various big brands like Aditya Birla Group and Universal Music India before he landed at TATA Sons.
In today's conversation with Mr. Chincholikar, we're going to talk about his journey and why he chose HR right after his graduation. He will also talk to us about what a typical day of a CHRO looks like and how he manages to work globally with different people from different cultures.
