It was the perfect birthday gift – getting into Manfest-Varchasva Core Team on my 21st birthday seemed like the best gift I could have asked for. Close to 10 days of rigorous selections, prioritising tasks, finally came this day when I knew my life at IIM Lucknow was going to become more exciting and enjoyable thanks to the 25 other individuals who I was soon going to call my family. Having spent every second of my life at IIM L up till 19th November, 2017 dreaming, breathing and thinking of Manfest-Varchasva, there are 5 Lessons that I learnt.
If there’s a problem, we’ll find a way
Whether the admin is not easy on us, whether sponsors are not ready to give us money, whether demonetisation or GST has hit us, we will find a way. If 1 of us or the fest is in trouble, the team together will find a way to resolve the issue. We find a solution not because things have been laid on a platter or there’s some divine power awaiting us, but because we were not taught to live with the ‘Chalta Hai’ attitude.
We know how to have a good time
We love entertaining people by helping them go through what we believe are the ‘3 best days at HelL. We do this and we enjoy it to the fullest because there is nothing dearer to us than the fest. Yet, it isn’t the only thing we do. Each of us has passions apart from this and we pursue them regularly.
The team makes or breaks the fest
Register NowWe do work or at least we try. We enjoy what we do and we do it to the best of our capacities. As a team, we complement each other and we are proud of that. There won’t be a matter we take lightly, a document that is half-baked or a response to a Facebook post that is half-edited. We take a task and we attempt to ace it to the fullest.
With each passing year, those who join the team will be different from what you were
No 2 teams are alike and so is the case with the Manfest-Varchasva team every year. We share the same passion and still are different in how we execute the fest with our unique touch each year. This is what makes it an even better experience.
We make the most of the best 3 days at HelL
We organise the fest because we are passionate about it but what good is a fest without the people in the college. We try to ensure everyone is a part of it so that they can have as much fun attending as we have organising it.For these 2 years gave me more than I could have asked for, and these 2 editions made me learn more management than all my classes at IIM Lucknow would have. In the fest, I found peace, love and satisfaction and I hope people do so and more over the years.
