LSSEA 2018 - Regional Rounds - SCMHRD Pune

Into its fourteenth year, the Lean & Six Sigma Excellence Awards (LSSEA) presented by Ozone Group in association with Aditya Birla Fashion & Retail, recognizes organizations across a variety of industries for outstanding process improvement programs that drive efficiencies, increase profitability and improve customer experience.

This year’s awards focused on smart and innovative projects that achieved business objectives by driving operational excellence in the age of disruption.

The event was held in Pune on 3rd October & 4th October and in Bangalore on 4th October in which industry titans such as Ashok Leyland, Tata Consultancy Services, Wipro, Reliance Industries, Cummins, Bharat Forge etc. presented their projects in different categories of Lean, Six Sigma, DMAIC and Kaizen wherein 40+ projects were rated on the following criteria:

• Successfully addressed a compelling operational need or challenge
• Instituted an innovative model, solution, or strategy utilizing operational capabilities
• Achieved meaningful and measurable outcomes or impact within the organization and/or in creating and delivering results that benefit external stakeholders, communities or the sector.

The projects were evaluated by our esteemed panelists Mr. Sharadchandra Karve, AVP - Corporate Process Excellence at Reliance and Mr. Sushil Ahuja, GM & Head Business Excellence at JSW, Mr. Sumit Sankar Banerjee, National Manager - Operational Excellence at Hindustan Coca Cola Beverages Pvt. Ltd and Mr. Taranjit Rekhi, Global Delivery Excellence Head at Atos.

The shortlisted teams from regional rounds will compete against one another in the Final Round that will be held at SCMHRD, Pune in the last week of November.
