After the eventful first week at Mahindra, all the GMC interns were really prepped up and super excited to finally start working on our projects and get to know our respective teams a bit better.
For me, the second week was all about having discussions on varied interesting topics with the corporate branding team and be in awe of all the insightful conversations. The whole team did everything to make us feel very comfortable and to create a nurturing environment for all of us. With this, the week also saw me doing the initial secondary research to understand about Mahindra rise, Mahindra racing and also gain some perspective about the role and responsibility that the corporate branding team is entrusted with.
Having been assigned a very interesting project, it is always exciting to talk to new people about the project and get their perspective (along with those envious looks from my batch-mates!). Furthermore, the 15-days of research accompanied with innumerable sessions with my mentor and buddy has provided me with a clear enough idea about the background of my project and the deliverables expected from me.
Meanwhile, all of us who were located in Mahindra's Mumbai office started bonding over early mornings cab rides (most of us still asleep in the cab) and late evenings (the very infamous) local train journey. The lunch breaks always end up with us chatting over one or the other controversial topics. And this chit-chat is what that made the lunch break a real break from all the work. A tea break in the evening at a tea stall nearby serves the very necessary purpose of waking us all from our sleep (many of us are still not habitual of waking up early :P). Weekends are the best opportunity for us to compensate for our lack of sleep (trust me, sleeping for 9 hours straight is the most satisfying thing ever) and also to explore the various khao galis and pubs here.
Who would have thought MBA internships could be this fun!
