Success is a cycle where you learn to balance the unbalanced, grow from the contraction and encounter hurdles. All these challenges that I have faced in my life have taught me to be strong enough to handle failures and cherish success. It also taught me to stay focused towards the goals and the bigger picture which might seem farfetched at the moment.
I always wanted to make my family proud. A part of it I could fulfill by securing a good percentage in my tenth grade. I wanted to fly high and get into one of the top engineering colleges in India after twelfth standard but could not achieve. My parents never scolded me on the result, but the silence left an impact on me.
I took inspiration by reading about some great people in the society who once failed but turned the table around by being consistent. I learned to stay positive and work hard rather than having a spiraling effect of the negative emotions I was experiencing at that moment. I decided to study hard and could do well engineering. I also took up many extra-curricular activities and learned different aspects of things. With all the hard work in place, I could secure a job at Wipro technologies. I took up responsibilities and made an impact with the hard work in the project assigned to me. The thought to make my family proud was still there. Along with the work, I started preparing for the MBA entrance exams with the mission to get into a good B-school and to start a great career.
It was partially fulfilled when I joined TAPMI. The part is about to happen. One of my favorite quotes by Jack Ma says “Never Give up. Today is hard, Tomorrow will be worse, but the day after tomorrow will be sunshine.” I believe not giving up brings a chance to win and I take mine.
