“Why MBA?” is a question asked to almost every MBA aspirant during their personal interview. This is because there may be multiple reasons for an individual to pursue MBA. We run a series called Many Roads to MBA, which features students who have had unusual journeys, be it in their careers or personal lives. Their stories are quite inspiring and might give you the right motivation to do MBA. Today, we have a Chemical Engineer and an Ocean Engineer. Watch this video to know their experiences.
Video Summary: Gokulakrishnan Ramu, a Chemical Engineer, completed his Bachelor’s from BITS Pilani. He later got a full scholarship for a Masters from Texas A&M University. After 2.5 years of work experience in Aurobindo Pharma, he decided to pursue an MBA, getting into SPJIMR. While he was passionate about Chemical Engineering, he realised that he had a knack for Operations and Supply Chain management and therefore decided to do an MBA to develop his people skills and management skills.  Soumya Chakraborty did his BTech in Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering IMU Visakhapatnam. He got a job in Mazgaon Shipbuilders Ltd., where he worked on building battleships, including a 200 Cr project for a submarine for the Indian Navy. He decided to do an MBA to further accelerate his career. This unique work experience helped him crack his SPJIMR interview. To know more about SPJIMR PGDM Program: Click here Key Takeaways:
