Choosing a B School is a life decision, it is going to stay with you for the rest of your life. The whole course of your future depends upon this choice. So, you must be thorough about why you pick a B school or why you didn’t choose the others. I faced the same situation a couple of months back, but I had my priority set from the very beginning. I owe this clarity to varied research that was done by me on different parameters. Here I am going to discuss them and why I choose SJMSOM. The order in which I would discuss does not give any idea about the importance of these factors as every reason is more important than the other in some way. The first factor to be discussed would be the tag of an IIT. And it’s not just an IIT, it’s the best of the lot. I knew that this tag is not just a tag but holds value because it actually provides that quality of education and environment. The kind of people I would be around in these 2 years would have molded the way I think I take decisions or I face challenges. And here I got such a strong and an intellectual network. Another big factor was, where all other B schools were giving academic diversity points to non-engineers, here I was getting a preference because I was an engineer. I felt that my degree held more of a value at this place. Also the thought came to my mind that I would be taught new subjects in consideration of my background as most of my fellow classmates would be from the same background as mine. The small batch size was also a reason which made me have a penchant towards SJMSOM. Smaller batch size meant that more of a cohesive environment. It’s very easy to be noticed for your work in such a small batch size. I would be lying if I had said that I did not consider ROI as one of the factors. I would have been a bad first step in master of management if I had not done that. With this small batch size, getting opportunities in summer internship was easier, which in a way decides the course of your next 3-4 years. Among other factors were the location advantage that Mumbai had over any other city in the country. Also the healthy infrastructure would help me pursue my hobbies and personal development.

After all these factors when I actually went through the process of admission at SJMSOM, I was convinced that this is the one. The smoothest admission process there ever could be. Everything was planned in such a beautiful manner that there was no chance of any miscommunication or a chaos.
Although I was in the waitlist initially I exactly knew the date I would get a call on.

And after all this I could not stop but choose SJMSOM as the B school of my choice. 2) Which ABG company would you want to work for and why? ADITYA BIRLA SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY COMPANY PRIVATE LIMITED

Aditya Birla Science and Technology Company Private Ltd is the corporate research and development centre for the Aditya Birla Group. I would choose this as the company I would like to work for. The reason being, since this is such a raw sector in India, there are a lot of opportunities for growth. People working in this sector could pave the way for the growth of research in India.
My contribution in designs, process control and automation would prove to be of a lot of worth.
