MBA-BM, the flagship Program of XIM University, is designed to transform competent men and women into accomplished professionals capable of working and excelling in top organisations in the private and public sectors. The MBA Program is designed to create a holistic perspective about an organisation and to facilitate knowledge of various business functions and skills. The students also learn to work in teams and effectively communicate orally and in writing. The program aims to develop strong analytical skills among the students and an awareness of social and ethical responsibility.

The program follows the trimester system. The course has been designed to evolve program content and is constantly updated to fit emerging trends and patterns. The program is spread over six terms. The first term extends from June to September, the second from September to December, and the third from December to March. The full-time residential program involves an average of 14 class sessions a week with 90 minutes each. The curriculum lays the foundation for a conceptual and analytical understanding of Indian and international business. The program closely integrates current management theory and practice. The student's workload, including class sessions, required readings, term papers, project work, and field visits, is expected to require about 70 hours per week.

Over and above the regular courses offered in the program, industry stalwarts from various fields are invited to the Immersion Courses for the students to ignite insightful discussions on various topics. Moreover, project assignments, seminars by eminent scholars and executives, and summer training in the industry help the students acquire practical knowledge about the technical and human problems in organisations.

The Programme consists of core and elective course credits, where a student must complete a minimum of 105 credits. In the first year students must complete 61.5 credits and in the second year 43.5 credits are mandated. A course can be 1.5, 2, 3, or 4 credits. One credit is equivalent to 10 contact hours. The students are taught core courses in the first year. These courses focus on essential and functional aspects. The objective is to teach students about the social and economic environment of businesses operating in India. The areas covered include Marketing, Finance, Systems, Strategy, and Operations. At the end of the first year, the students must spend at least eight weeks in an organisation doing an internship project on some significant aspect or management problem given by the host organisation. The objective of the Summer Internship Project is to provide the students with an opportunity to observe an organisation in operation and to relate what they have learned to actual practice. The students must then submit the project report to the Institute for evaluation. The Summer Internship Program is a mandatory requirement of the Institute. The students can observe organisations' prevailing methods and practices and relate them to the knowledge gained in the classroom lectures.

In the second year, the Institute offers a list of electives for students to specialise in. Elective courses are added to continuously update the syllabus, keeping with the student's interests and industry requirements. Currently, around fifty-three electives are offered from various functional areas, one of the highest amongst B-schools in the country. These immersion courses, seminars, and projects aim to generate and evaluate alternative solutions to management issues. The students are thus prepared to face their problems in their professional careers with confidence.
