MDI EXPERIENCE
The past one month at MDI has been a blur. Amidst the countless tasks, case studies, guest lectures, and meeting the near-impossible deadlines, there are certain moments that stand out. One of those moments came in the form of a fresher’s party. Although it’s meant to be a surprise for juniors, where the seniors play a practical prank on juniors before the curtains fall and party commences, it was slightly predictable when it happened with us. But despite knowing somewhere in the back of mind that the prank was a setup for the party, the surprise still felt absolutely delightful; more than I could’ve imagined. The sudden shower of water from buckets planned by the seniors standing on hostel roof immediately followed by loud music and lighting in the mess turned dance-floor was as good as it could get. In that moment, none of us cared about the sleepless nights, the crammed up auditorium sessions, the long waiting periods in queues wearing suits in the hot and humid Gurgaon weather. We just danced off everything. I never knew I had it in me to jump and groove to beats for 4 hours straight. Definitely the best college experience yet.
ABG BRAND I WOULD WORK FOR:
Aditya Birla Group is one of the largest conglomerates in India, with many companies under its belt. But if I had to choose one company within Aditya Birla Group, it would be Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Limited. I have been a loyal customer of various fashion apparel brands like Van Heusen and Allen Solly even before I knew they were a part of Aditya Birla Group. So, for me personally, I already feel connected to the brand. And it would give me a sense of ownership and pride to have the shopping experience and first hand use the products of the company where I work. Also as an HR manager, it would be a great experience and challenge to keep up or improve on the already amazing work culture of the organization. It would give me the opportunity to interact with and probably recruit a lot of creative people, which feels a very challenging yet exciting job. It would be a dream come true if I get the opportunity to work at Aditya Birla Group.
