As the admission season comes to a close, albeit stuttering and lagging compared to the usual timelines, it still signals the start of b-school life. We obviously hope that each of you gets into a desirable or dream B-school.
But have you given thought to what comes after that? Or have you been too focused on admissions that you forgot about placements?
Yes, placements!
Summer placements are usually one of the first curveballs faced by students in B-school, not just because it will decide their internship, but also because many recruiters offer full-time positions (aka PPOs) to their interns first before looking for a candidate in the market. This is because it requires less effort, induction becomes easier, and they already have a hang of the role and the company.
And there is your first-mover advantage… Of course,
if you get a PPO, you have practically got your RoI of the b-school within half the time!
So, how do you make the most of this opportunity? How do you score a home run at summer placements?
