- IMD To Collaborate With BSNL For Weather Warnings
This comes after the Indian Meteorological Department faced criticism for inaccurate weather predictions. The IMD has also come out with the latest technology to predict weather accurately for a 10-day bracket.
- Swearing In Of World Leaders:
Egypt - President Abdel-Fattah el-Sissi
Italy - Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte
Spain - Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez
- IRCTC Rolls Out Trapigo For Food Delivery Service
Trapigo is a start-up which provides food and logistics services. In collaboration with IRCTC, Trapigo will deliver food to passenger seats. Passengers can even place orders for mangoes which will be delivered by a self-help group.
- NCERT Syllabus To Be Halved
The MHRD has taken a decision to cut the NCERT syllabus by half, as the Union Ministry feels that the syllabus in its current form is too cramped.
- Flower Named After PM Modi
An Israeli Chrysanthemum flower has been named after Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Currently, PM Modi has 3 flowers named after him in India and abroad.

Across the globe, Cape Town was a major city which faced severe water shortage in 2015 and continues to face this shortage even now.
- India Test-fires Agni-5
The Agni-5 is a long-range ballistic missile and has a strike range of 5000 kilometres. According to the DRDO, the Agni-5 is the most technologically advanced missile in the Agni-series of ballistic missiles.
- India Ranks 137th On Global Peace Index-2018
India's rank has actually improved by 4 places this year, according to an Australian think-tank. Iceland is the most peaceful country in the world, and Syria currently ranks last in the Global Index.
