In our list of India's Best 50 - the 50 Most Promising Incoming MBA Students 2023, we feature MBA students who have walked that extra mile and done that little more to stand out! Recommended Competition For You: Kampus Creator Hunt 2023 - India's Biggest Campus Creator Competition! | Cash Prize: ₹ 1.75 Lakhs
Nikhil was born and raised in Jaipur, Rajasthan. He completed his B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from NIT, Surat in 2020. After that he worked as Executive Engineer at Larsen & Toubro - Sargent & Lundy Limited for 2 years in the Energy Domain providing solutions to clients across countries. I love to play badminton and do gardening as a recreational activity. I like to explore various different things and enjoy talking to people. I went for a student exchange program at AIESEC in Sri Lanka where I participated in Global Village Sri Lanka along with youth from 10+ countries to celebrate global citizenship and diversity. With my experiences, I have developed interpersonal communication skills, analytical skills, and stakeholder management. In all, I always think of participating in new activities and making me and society better each day. Nikhil Murarka approaches problem-solving with a systematic and analytical method, as evidenced by his work on designing a Waste to Energy Power Plant. He emphasizes thorough understanding, breaking down problems, setting clear objectives, brainstorming solutions, and collaborating with teams. This approach ensures a well-rounded perspective and effective problem resolution. Handling failure, Nikhil shares an instance where he made an error in pump design calculations at L&T Limited. Learning from this, he emphasizes facing challenges calmly, taking responsibility, and maintaining a composed and patient approach in difficult situations. In an ethical decision at work, Nikhil recounts receiving a higher-compensation job offer after accepting one from L&T Limited. Despite the tempting offer, he prioritized his commitment to L&T, highlighting the importance of keeping promises and maintaining integrity. In negotiations with stakeholders for a project, Nikhil faced a situation where the client preferred a powdered form of a chemical, contrary to their recommendation of a liquid form. Through clear and confident communication, emphasizing the benefits of the chosen solution, and aligning project goals with client expectations, they successfully negotiated for the liquid chemical solution. For the candidacy as one of India's Most Promising Incoming MBA Students 2023, Nikhil emphasizes his academic excellence, leadership roles, professional experience, ethical values, and a passion for continuous learning. He believes this unique blend makes him a deserving candidate for the program.
