One Year PGPM At Great Lakes - A Complete Package

Great Lakes Institute of Management, Chennai is one of the most coveted b-schools of India. It is ranked as one of the top 10 b-schools in India due to its fast track one year course. Yes, you heard it right the course is fast track as you have to cover pretty much all of the subjects in 1 year. But you really don’t need to worry about it as the pedagogy is just awesome here. Almost all the world class faculties teach us. The focus is not only to teach us all the concepts but also to make us more disciplined and ethical because that is pretty much required for the future leaders. Industry stalwarts say that they don’t need leaders who are having just knowledge but the ones who can take strategic decisions at the crucial times. This decision-making doesn’t come immediately but it comes by experiential learning. “Karmayoga” is one such program in our course which provides us an opportunity to go to the villages, understand their issues and then plan out activities to resolve them effectively. Great lakes also have clubs such as Toastmasters which helps in public speaking and an Entrepreneurship cell which provides us a platform to start something of our own. There are people coming from different working backgrounds all having an experience of at least 2 years. This diversity helps to understand a business scenario from different perspectives which ultimately enriches our class discussion and enables us to make good decisions. There is so much to learn in this one year that’s why “Great Lakes is a dream of many but a home of few” and I am fortunate to be one of the member of Great Lakes family.
