Parshva Dugad, a Chartered Accountant and CFA Level III candidate currently pursuing an MBA at IIM Indore, is known for his academic excellence, securing District Rank 1 in both Grade X and XII. Despite gaining admission to BITS Pilani through JEE Mains (top 0.5%ile), he chose to follow his passion for finance and pursued the Chartered Accountancy course, completing his articleship in Statutory Audit at KPMG in Mumbai. With a proactive nature, he held leadership roles such as Head Boy in school and Joint Secretary of the Quizzers League in college. Parshva is versatile, engaging in activities like quizzing, chess, football, and geography quizzes. His creative side is evident in sharing puns on Instagram and showcasing his talent as a keyboard player in concerts. As a Team Leader at the FIDE Chess Olympiad, he used his networking skills and knowledge to interact with top chess players globally, reflecting his openness to new perspectives and a desire to broaden his horizons. Parshva Dugad adopts a systematic problem-solving approach by breaking down complex issues into smaller components, brainstorming solutions, and evaluating their feasibility. He shares an experience from the FIDE Chess Olympiad, where he successfully organized team photos by adapting the approach, taking the photo booth to the players rather than bringing players to the booth. Handling failure, Parshva reflects on a setback during his B.Com exams. Despite scoring low in Accounts, he turned the situation into an opportunity for improvement, focusing on strengthening fundamentals and achieving the highest marks in Accounts in his CA Intermediate exams. This experience taught him the value of perseverance. In a difficult ethical decision at KPMG, Parshva faced the need for leave to prepare for his CFA Level I exam. Choosing honesty over fabrication, he communicated truthfully with his manager, who turned out to be supportive. This experience reinforced the importance of honesty, integrity, and open communication in the workplace. Describing a negotiation situation during the FIDE Chess Olympiad, Parshva addressed a cultural difference with the Tamil Nadu Government regarding police escorts for players. Through diplomacy and compromise, he negotiated a solution allowing players more independence during specific hours. For candidacy as one of India's Most Promising Incoming MBA Students 2023, Parshva highlights his academic achievements, professional experience at KPMG, leadership roles, effective communication skills, and proactive networking approach.
