Last year I found my new interest in marathon running . A few friends of mine decided that we should take a trip to Ladakh, for the Ladakh Marathon. This marathon is known for its difficult trail and scenic beauty. However the main issue was that the Marathon was scheduled around the time that I was supposed to take the CAT exam for business school. I was stuck in a dilemma about what to do, since both held equal importance for me. I finally decided to take up both with extreme commitment and perseverance.
I prepared for the marathon as often as possible and also went on many training trips, and everywhere I went my CAT study guides accompanied me. I spent every second whether it was while travelling or during training session breaks with my nose buried in my books and watching online preparation videos . I had a difficult time balancing both of them and I also could not get enough sleep and proper rest. However I was able to do well in my CAT and take the trip to Ladakh, where I successfully completed the marathon. Though the marathon was not an easy one it was completely worth it.
Although this was very challenging for me, I am proud of my perseverance which helped me achieve both my goals. One thing that this has taught me is to never give up and that nothing is impossible as the word itself says “ I’M POSSIBLE”.
