A campus or a resort? This is the first question everyone asks when they first enter this beautiful campus of IIM Udaipur. The campus is one of the largest and one of the best among Indian Education Institutions. Located just outside the main city area of Udaipur, spread across almost 253 acres of land, the campus is a symbolic remark with its grandeur greenery, splendid construction design by an award-winning architect, and an atmosphere that nourishes one of the best management minds of the country. A research-oriented institute with its vision to benefit India with some of the best researchers in collaboration and faculties in the institute. It perfectly fits India’s need to excel in research. The campus is huge. One amazing fact about the campus beyond its whole glory is that it fosters an environment which is so positively influenced by everyone who resides here, that it is just impossible to ignore that. It is incrementally derivative of everyone’s combined and individual’s efforts to the learning process. Residing between the Aravalli hills, this campus gives you a view like none other. The mornings are heaven, the nights are starry, and the weather just takes your breath away. Tied to the unparalleled beauty that the city inherits from its culture, the campus gracefully sniffs in the very aspect of Udaipur and creates a global forefront for the city even more. The development of an IIM in a city does change the economic scenario of the city and Udaipur will benefit a lot from this institute. The congruent efforts of the administration coupled with the ever-more enthusiastic student community make this place a heaven for the two years we reside here. The enormously experienced faculty here takes your learning experience to the next level. And all this is not just words; the reports prove the integrity of the words mentioned above. The rate of growth this campus has experienced over the last five years is just breath-taking. This explicit uprising is something unique and not something you just get everywhere. Every one of us is a witness to this forward growth. This is just the base of a very high mountain to be achieved by this campus in the coming years. The increased batch size in consequent substantiates the ability to accommodate growth appropriately. The energy filled serene campus synergized with the ever-enthusiastic students with the sense of ownership makes this a home away from home. Alumni’s of our college have still got a strong sense of attachment with the campus. The beauty is being missed by them.
Agreed, still a large part of campus is under construction, but that is paced up fast. My one year on this campus has made me witness a plethora of changes. The point being it never ceases to amaze you. It paves the way for the dreams of many.

Which ABG Company would I like to work for and why?
Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail (formerly Pantaloons) is a retail chain I would love to work for. The bigger reason being the extent of marketing involved in the apparel and retail industry. I being a marketing guy think I would fit in well with a company like this with a backing of Aditya Birla Group. The brands that come under the chain are enormous, and it would provide me with vast opportunities to make a difference in such a dynamic industry. With ABG, I’d be sure to get a right approach and amazing opportunities to showcase my skills.
