Durga, like any other student in his teenage years, was pretty clueless about his choice of higher education. He was not sure where his heart lied and although he had support from his parents, he did not take up what he was good at. And like the majority of the students in smaller towns, for him, he thought, the choice was between Engineering and Medical alone. It is while he was pursuing his engineering, he got the shock of his life; his mother's cancer! Know more about Durga Madhab Satapathy, an IIFT Delhi MBA-IB student, in today’s episode of the REAL STEEL series, powered by Tata Steel.
Durga faced a lot of bullying in his engineering days that crushed his confidence and made him re-think his decision to join an engineering college every day. The situation got worse as he had to stay far away from his family and deal with the changing dimensions of his life alone. But, he stood at his ground firmly and fought with the odds. And then came the shocker. His mother got diagnosed with cancer, which put his plans in jeopardy. He quit his job and came back to take good care of his mother.
