In the soon-to-be-released InsideIIM Recruitment Survey, we found that the 3 chief reasons why students choose to do an MBA are (in order of preference):
1. To earn a higher salary
2. To network with smart peers
3. To become qualified to lead/manage teams
In the top 10 reasons, there were other notable responses like wanting to switch domains, impress parents and even delay marriage.
But barely anyone mentioned that they wanted to do an MBA to gain access to world-class professors and learn management from the very best in the domain.
That, unfortunately, is the reality of MBA education today.
The contribution of the professor is visible a little later into the careers when faced with a business challenge, you are reminded of that lecture that taught you a concept so well you could apply it perfectly and solve the problem. Sometimes it's even more complex than that. Some of the best professors are able to build a habit of excellence, an appetite for problem-solving and humility to learn from every person and situation. And often it's some years into your career, that you really come to appreciate your education, more than your degree. By then, the student has lost touch with the professor and that one thing for that a student can give a professor in return for all he/she has done for the student, is denied to him/her - recognition.
InsideIIM thus presents this opportunity to students across MBA campuses in India to acknowledge and recognise the best professors who have contributed in creating leaders out of students.
Nominate your favourite professors for InsideIIM's Professor of the year recognition and get your peers to do the same. At the end of the activity,
InsideIIM will release the list of the top professors across the campuses and shall profile each of them on the platform.

How Will This Work?
- You can nominate as many professors as you like. For every nomination, you will have to fill the form again.
- Professors with most nominations will be considered in the final list. So do share the form with your classmates and ask them to nominate their favourite professors as well!
- Please note that your reasons for nominating the professor will also be considered.
- The same person cannot nominate the same professor more than once. Duplicate entries, in this case, won't be considered.
- The deadline to nominate your favourite professors is 28th February 2019 11:59:59 pm.
