Part A:
Aditya Birla Group has a massive presence in our lives and we may not even be knowing. Spanning across 34 countries, it is anchored by a strong force of over 120,000 employees, belonging to 42 nationalities which together bring to us the world-class products and services. What an idea sir Ji and Vodafone’s zo-zo joined hands to become India’s largest and world’s 2
nd largest telecom operator. So, every 3
rd person you call in India is an Idea-Vodafone user. This is just the beginning. Check your fridge, every 3
rd aluminum can is made from Novelis Aluminium. Don’t worry if you don’t keep such products in your fridge. You must be having a car or sat in one. The tire in every 2
nd car in the world has Birla carbon, i.e. either yours or your neighbor’s car definitely has an ABG product in it. No no, Birla-Ji doesn’t stop here. Check your wardrobe, either you will have one of the direct branded garments of ABG or if not some of the fabric of some other garment may be from the AB Group, guaranteed unless you are 100% into Khadi. If you live in a city I bet, you would have visited the nearest pantaloons showroom. Yes, that is also theirs. If till now you are not touched by the AB group in any way, then wait, the roof you are under must be of Ultratech cement. If still not, then I would recommend you to please take Aditya Birla Sunlife Insurance and secure your future. God bless you.
Part B:
Touchwood, with God's blessings I did not have to face major challenge till class 10. But in class 11-12 preparing for IIT-JEE brought some hurdles. The coaching was very far off from my home. School plus coaching class was enough to drain off my energy for the day. I got time on off days only. But with parents support and God's blessings, I could clear JEE and took admission in IIT(BHU), Varanasi. That’s where I first moved away from home. That’s where we learn about the outside world and managing your own shit. Then came the corporate world. I got placed in Tata Steel Jamshedpur. After 1 year of management training, I was shouldered with responsibility. That was again a different phase of life. Moreover, I was a plant manager, where I had supervisors under me whose experience in the company was more than my age. And I was at the interface of management and supervisor grade employees. I can’t communicate anything to either side. It was a great learning experience, to deal with people and manage the operations of an entire unit. In my 3-year stint, I took up 11 projects. That's where I learned the most, I had to deal with all sort of cross-functional teams. This enhanced my people management skill and technical skills as well. This is where I decided what I need in my career and moved to IIT Delhi for MBA. Many people later asked me why didn’t I take computer science in some other college. I have just one answer for them, now I can’t go back and change my past, but I have my future in my hand and will always keep moving forward. This is life, we don’t always take the right paths, but with guidance and self-confidence, one will achieve success. And success is not a place where I have to reach, it’s a journey, to make a positive contribution to society and family in the best of my ability. Always be generous and have positive thoughts. Rise and Shine.
